SHIELDS HINGED KNEE STABILIZER^{® by Hely & Weber}

The Shields Hinged Stabilizer effectively controls the malalignments of patella glide, ML tilt, and AP tilt through the use of dynamic, directional force.

It has all the attributes of the Shields Patella Stabilizer - plus one important addition:  Bi-axial hinges for extra medial lateral support.  An Adjustable buttress and flap system is optimal for buttress-patella contact during movement.

The wrap around design permits easier application, better fit, less migration, and decreased sizing needs.

Developed with the help of Dr. Shields.  Dr. Shields is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in Sports Medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles, California.  Formerly a team physician for the Los Angles Rams, Dr. Shields still serves as a neutral physician for the national Football League.  He is a former president of the AOSSM.  He serves as the Associate Clinical Professor in the Dept. of Orthopaedics at the University of Southern California, and as the Assistant Professor at the Charles Drew School of Medicine, Los Angeles, CA.
