KNAPP^™ UNIVERSAL HINGED KNEE BRACE by Hely & Weber

A Multi-Functional Hinged Knee Brace was the quest set upon by Dr. Thomas Knapp and the designers at Hely & Weber Sports Medicine.  This brace was designed to meet the ever challenging needs of pre and post-op care for MCL/LCL and meniscal repairs, and might also be considered in it's longer lengths as an adjunct to patella fracture and mild/moderate ACL/PCL strains and sprains.   Full hinge covers allow for sport participation. Based on requests for a hinged knee brace with universal sizing and customization options, we created the Knapp Universal Hinged Knee Orthosis.  The Knapp Universal is constructed in a two-panel design, built on Hely & Weber's 12" base.	The brace is easily trimmed and adjusted to fit the "between siz" patients or patients with challenging leg contours.	The second panel simply attaches to the base, allowing the patient to be measured and fitted in the same visit.

Constructed of  neoprene, the Knapp Universal Hinged Knee Brace comes in a 12" length.  The anterior closure provides custom fitting and allows the brace to be applied with shoes on.  The Range of Motion hinge plus 2 other hinge styles increase customization.  The hinge pockets cover the hinges during sports and rehabilitation needs.  The Knapp Hinged Knee is an indispensable tool in the practitioners' armamentarium.

R.O.M. (Range of Motion) Hinge offers flexion stop placement in 0o, 10o, 30o, 50o, 70o, 90o, and 110o settings, and extension stop placement also in 0o, 10o, 30o, 50o, 70o, 90o, and 110o settings.  This hinge will also allow you to set in full extension.  (It should be noted that due to neoprene's four-way stretching character, care should be taken to insure that your patient does not drive through your pre-set stop.)
